In Hebrew (Yir'ah), it denotes profound respect and a genuine desire to honor God. In Greek (Phobos), it portrays a healthy fear that safeguards us from disobedience and leads us to pure worship. The "Fear of the Lord" is the beginning of wisdom because it recognizes the grandeur of God and our humble place before Him.
